The excitement of the New Year cannot sweep away the memories of the feverish, full-house Cinetrip night, the last bath party in Szechenyi Baths on 30th December 2016.
Budapest has been well known around the world for its bath culture and elegant bath houses going back several centuries, many of which were built in the 19th century. The most famous thermal bath, Szechenyi Bath, was hosting a unique bath party in Budapest on 30th December 2016: as part of SPArty event series it was time for one of Europe\’s biggest bath complexes to expand its traditional functions and attract fans of unique visual shows and electronic music. Cinetrip transformed the bath, built at the end of the previous century, into a wonderland dancing in fire and steam. Visitors enjoyed the comfort of outdoor thermal leisure pools to the backdrop of special DJ sets, LED walls, laser lights, fire jugglers and acrobats.
The last bath party in Szechenyi Bath in 2016 gave a spiritual energy boost for the forthcoming months to around 2000 Sparty-heads, of over 50 nationalities. A great majority of whom came from the UK, France and the US, while many Spanish and Australians were also Spartying with us on the last but one night of the year.
Despite the freezing cold, the atmosphere in our Enchanted Castle was hot, with a magical laser show, extreme, mind-bending visuals, and inspired DJ-music. What a party it was!
