If the weather is not dreadful, take a romantic stroll on the 2.5 kilometers long and up to 500 meters wide island in the centre of Budapest. The island, named after Princess Margaret, a nun in the Dominican convent on the island back in the 1200s is a real heaven for recreation. Running paths, benches with a view, ruins from the Dominican church and convent, and a recently revived Japanese Garden all promise a meaningful diversion from the big city.
